I have to say that I am so happy that my kids get to have Valentines Parties in school. I must of read a zillion posts on facebook about how their kids are celebrating "Friendship Day" and that they couldn't reference valentines day or anything like that! Is it a commercial holiday? Absolutely! But really leave the one day that is about LOVE! The world could use a little love out there! So just thought I would share our Valentine goodies that the girls brought in. As a room mom I sent in some yummy heart shaped donuts and hot chocolate for the class. And the good news is that it met all the allergy needs. Phew!!!
So happy Valentines Day!!!
As I have said my oldest is crafty (just like mom). So yesterday was that dreaded but kind of refreshing day where you take down all the Christmas stuff. In my house, that is a whole day process. I have several Trees, signs and christmasy stuff all over my house. Once I had finished all of that I had decided I would put up my Valentines stuff. I am getting ready to start my busy season at work and I knew if I didn't do it today that it may never get done! I saw "E" going up and downstairs between our craft room and her bedroom. A couple of hours later I get the call to come up to her room. She had once again decorated her door. She strung buttons with yarn and hung them from the top of her door. Then she used our heart punch and punched out hearts and taped them to her door. Made a little sign on her computer and voila! It was adorable and a perfect rainy day project for your tween!
